Kirsten trained at Bird College under the tutelage of icons Len Goodman and Liz Burville. Her professional career has taken her around the world — performing on cruise ships for Carnival and Princess Lines, appearing on Top of the Pops, CDUK, the Pepsi Chart Show, This Morning and TVAM, and featuring in commercials for Bernard Matthews, Halifax and Sky TV.
As a member of the London Theatre of Ballroom she performed in stage shows and corporate events across the country, and toured Europe with pop group Sash before founding Taboo Dance Company and channelling her extraordinary experience into teaching.
Under Kirsten's direction Taboo has won the prestigious Carl Alan Street Dance Award (2014), reached semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent (2010) and Got to Dance (2009), represented England at Dance Excellence in Hollywood, appeared on E4's Stage School (2017 & 2018), and claimed the titles of IDO HipHop World and European Champions.
