The studio's location, purchased and refurbished by the late Len Goodman in the 1980s, adds a touch of history and significance to the establishment. Jacqueline Hadlow Moore

Biography

Jacqueline began her early training in her hometown of St Austell, Cornwall, at the Capitol School of Dancing. She then studied at a full-time vocational school, the Cardigan School of Dancing, in South Wales, at the age of 14, under the guidance of Mrs Patricia Smith. Jacqueline furthered her training in the heart of London’s West End by gaining a Diploma in Musical Theatre.

 

Jacqueline has travelled the world as a professional singer, dancer, examiner and choreographer and has worked extensively for several awarding bodies. Jacqueline has taught at many independent schools, teaching many dance styles and grades in LAMDA Drama. 

Jacqueline has been the chairman of several volunteer dance groups and causes, and most recently chaired the Gravesham Performing Arts Festival committee in North West Kent. 

 

Jacqueline, recognising that the dance sector was due to become subject to more stringent regulations from the government, has worked studiously to gain a wide range of skills and accreditations, including her BTDA Level 4 Diploma in Theatre Dance in Classical Ballet & Modern Jazz and the ISTD Certificate in Dance Education in Imperial Ballet, Tap Dance, Modern Theatre and Disco Freestyle. In 2005, Jacqueline became an approved Tutor at the Goodman Dance Centre for the FDI & CDE Qualifications with the ISTD. In October 2008, Jacqueline gained her DTLLS through the BBO and Trinity College. Jacqueline holds Fellowships with the ISTD, IDTA, and BTDA and is a RAD-registered teacher.

Jacqueline is an examiner for Stageschool RSL Awards and an All England Dance Adjudicator.

 

Jacqueline has a vast experience in Teacher Training and has tutored and successfully coached many new aspiring teachers on Ofqual accredited courses.

Kirsten Wheeler

Her vibrant career led her across seas with Carnival and Princes Cruise lines, onto the pulsing stages of Top Of The Pops, CDUK, Pepsi Chart Show, This Morning, and TVAM. Her charisma shone in commercials for renowned brands such as Bernard Mathews, Halifax, and Sky TV. As a proud member of the London Theatre of Ballroom, Kirsten dazzled audiences in stage shows and corporate events alike. She graced Europe with Pop Group “Sash” before finding her true calling – imparting her vast knowledge to aspiring dancers at Taboo! Taboo Dance Company isn’t just a dance studio; it’s a legacy of achievement recognized by rewards like the prestigious Carl Alan Street Dance Award in 2014. We have represented England on global platforms like “Dance Excellence” in Hollywood and clinched the highest level of achievement. Our accolades include reaching semi-finals in “Britain’s Got Talent” (2010) and “Got To Dance” (2009), captivating audiences on E4's “Stage School” (2017 & 2018), not to mention our crowning glory as IDO HipHop World and European Champions. We are thrilled to introduce our very own alumna and star of the stage, Charlotte Rose Moore—better known as Rose Hadlow—to our family of dedicated educators. Charlotte embodies the spirit of what we stand for at Robyn Academy: unwavering dedication, exceptional talent, and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of performers. As a former student who has walked in your shoes, she brings not only her extensive experience but also an intimate understanding of our academy's culture and values. With her impressive first-class honours degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre from the prestigious Bird College, Charlotte has honed her craft to perfection. Her accolades don't end there; she is also an esteemed Associate of Trinity College London and holds the RSL Level 4 Teaching Diploma—a testament to her expertise and dedication to education. As our competition team coach specialising in Musical Theatre, Charlotte’s dynamic approach will challenge you to push boundaries and elevate your performance skills. Under her guidance, you'll have the opportunity to dive deep into character development, vocal technique, and captivating storytelling through movement—skills that are essential for any aspiring performer. Charlotte’s career has seen her shining brightly on stage in numerous professional pantomimes and showcases. Her ongoing pursuit of knowledge through a Master of Arts in English Literature enriches her understanding of narrative and character depth—insights that she eagerly shares with her students.

Can my child join if they’ve never danced before?

Absolutely! We welcome beginners at every age and place them in classes that match their comfort level and confidence.

What should we wear to class?

We recommend comfortable dancewear (tights, leotards, or tracksuit pants) and appropriate shoes. Uniform details are shared at enrolment.
