Joyful, nurturing, play-based dance education for our youngest performers
We've designed two distinct programmes for our youngest dancers — because every stage of childhood deserves its own special place to grow.
First steps into a world of movement
Mini Robyns is the perfect gentle beginning. Through imaginative themes, music, and play, our tiniest dancers discover what their bodies can do — building balance, coordination, and a beaming love of moving. Every class is a little adventure designed to make children feel safe, celebrated, and excited to come back.
Building real technique with real joy
Little Robyns takes the joy and wonder of Mini Robyns and begins to weave in structured technique. As children grow in confidence and capability, their classes develop with them — introducing proper ballet and tap foundations, performance skills, and the excitement of dancing with purpose. The fun never stops; it just gets more brilliant.
Every class is filled with carefully chosen music that sparks imagination and teaches rhythm. Children learn to really listen and respond with their whole bodies.
Our teachers celebrate every effort and every small win. Children leave class feeling proud, capable, and excited for next week.
Dance is better together. Children form real friendships in our classes — many families have been with us for 5, 8, even 11 years.
From our annual Parents Watching Week to end-of-term showcases, every child gets the thrill of performing — on their terms, in their own time.
Our curriculum is designed to grow with each child — from Mini Robyns through to Little Robyns and beyond, every step builds naturally on the last.
Grove Studios is a warm, purpose-built studio in the heart of Gravesend — a place where children feel completely at home from the very first class.
Dance at Grove Studios isn't just a class — it's a journey that can last a lifetime. Here's how our students grow through the school:
First steps — music, movement, balance, and pure joy. No expectations, just exploration.
Foundations take shape — ballet and tap technique introduced alongside creative dance and performance confidence.
Graded classes in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Jazz. IDTA examinations available for those who want them.
Voice, acting, and musical theatre open up — the full performing arts experience.
Street, commercial and freestyle — for those who want high-energy, contemporary dance alongside their classical training.
For serious students considering a career in dance — intensive training, competitions, and vocational guidance.

"My daughter has been attending classes with Jacqueline for 4 years. She has grown so much in confidence and been encouraged every step of the way. She's made wonderful friends and truly feels part of a dance family."
"My two youngest have been going since they were 2 and my eldest since she was 6 — 11 years in total. The quality of teaching is exceptional and the children have so many opportunities to perform. Would highly recommend."
"My daughter ❤️ attending classes at Robyn Academy and is making excellent progress through her ballet grades, singing and musical theatre. She started as a shy little Mini Robyn and now she owns that stage!"
